Affiliated Clubs
As well as EADA, there are local Amateur associations you can join which are based on geographical regions. Each year these associations affiliate to EADA.
Information on the benefits of clubs affiliating to EADA can be found on our Information pages and details of how affiliated clubs should register is on our registration page.
Each club elects a representative to sit on the EADA General Council and represent their interests. You can contact your club rep as follows:

Avon Amateur Dancers Club

The Avon Amateurs Club was set up in 1975 to cater for Amateur dancers in Bristol, North Somerset and the South West. The club has about 200 members and has a busy practice and social schedule. Annual membership costs £13, £9.50 for senior citizens and £6 for Juniors/Juveniles.
Practice sessions – Every Tuesday 7.45-10.30pm at Somerset Hall, Portishead (or Patchway if venue is unavailable). Costs £3. Includes practice finals for ballroom & latin.
Social events – tea dances are held on a monthly basis, also 4 social dances each year with Christmas and summer events with a buffet and cabaret.
Competitions – Every March/April the club hosts the City of Bristol Dance Championships, in November the Charity Gala Day to raise funds for cancer charities and hospices, and in early December the West of England Dance Championships.
The club will be celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2010 and a dinner dance is being organised for Easter Saturday, 3rd April.

Channel Counties Amateur Dancers' Association

CCADA are based on the South Coast, Hampshire - Dorset area and their membership is made up of competitors’ supporters and ex competitors mainly from the South of England. Although they have been running for many years, they are not yet officially affiliated to EADA but are hoping to expand their membership and events programme in due course. Membership of the club is £5 per year for adults and £2.50 per year for Juniors.
Social events – Annual Dinner dance
Competitions – Bournemouth Spectacular every September with EADA NREs and trophy events including the Bournemouth Corporation trophy for Amateur Ballroom which has been running since 1960.
Guernsey Amateur Dancesport Association

GADA was set up in 2004 to cater for Amateur dancers in Guernsey and the Channel islands. The club now has about 160 members and membership costs £15 for the year.
Practice sessions – Monday nights 7-10pm St Martins Parish hall, Tuesday 6.30-8pm Styx Youth Centre and then classes with James & Claire Taplin or practice on a Friday night 7-10pm St Martins Parish hall.
Social events – 3 gala dinner dances annually, monthly social dances which will become fortnightly later this year.
Competitions – GADA hosts the Yorkshire Guernsey International Dancesport Festival every October and the Dancefloor Challenge in April each year. A social competition is also held at the summer Gala.

The MAD club was formed in 1978 to cater for Amateur dancers in the West and East Midlands. It has grown to a membership of around 300. Annual membership fees cost £5 for those over 16 and £2 for those under 16.
Practice sessions – Every Tuesday 8.30-10.30pm, Cornbow Hall, Halesowen £2.50 for members, £3 non-members.
Social events – Winter Ball in February and Summer Ball in June
Competitions – the club organises the Heart of England Championships in early January, which includes Stars of the Future heats and EADA chart rated events.

The Bedfordshire DanceSport Club is the first Dance club in the United Kingdom to receive Clubmark acreditation. Clubmark is the Sport England mark of high quality Junior Clubs.
The club membership consists of Juvenile, Junior and Youth dancers of all levels. It meets in North Bedfordshire, providing training, competitions and social events for its members.

The SSDAC (Strictly School Dancing Amateur Club) was created in December 2010 and affiliated to EADA in 2011. The SSDAC is a non-profit making club and the directors of SSD Ltd. are are Neil & Sarka Brock. SSDAC aims to encourage more children to start Ballroom and Latin dancing and encourage them to compete. SSD Ltd provides tuition to hundreds of children each week at many different schools in the Hampshire and Surrey area. They bring directly into the school environment the opportunity for children to become involved in a truly fantastic sport.
British Rock 'n' Roll Federation

The BRRF was formed in 2008 by a group of enthusiastic rock ‘n’ roll dancers, many of whom were past or present members of the Cambridge University Rock 'n' Roll team. The founders had enjoyed success on the UK University Rock 'n' Roll circuit, but aspired to make links with their European (and international) counterparts. After several “training camps” with international coaches they were happy to discover that not only was it feasible for UK dancers to compete in the highly competitive European B Class Cup competitions, but that there were (and are) many coaches and dance couples from other countries willing and ready to lend a hand in helping them to achieve their ambition. In December 2006, after representing the UK unofficially for the first time ever in a major Rock ‘n’ Roll competition, the dancers were so pleased with the welcoming reception they received that they decided to work towards formally establishing a UK federation. The BRRF first affiliated to EADA in 2009. In June 2010 they performed at the EMDP's "Colour in Motion" show at the Royal Albert Hall on behalf of EADA.
Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK)

The Wheelchair Dance Sport Association was established in 2006 with the aims of promoting wheelchair dancing as a sport and leisure activity across the country and raising the standard of coaching and competition in the UK and internationally, at all levels. They offer a structured approach to training, with regular training courses for those interested in becoming Instuctors of Wheelchair Dance, and training for those interested in competing. They believe in making wheelchair dancing accessible to everyone, of all ages and abilities. The WDSA (UK) first affiliated to EADA in 2009.
