Good luck to the Fever Dance Company (from Preston) and XS Latin (from Cambridgeshire) Formation teams who will be representing England in the World Latin American Formation Championships in Bremen in December.
ENGLISH SUCCESS AT THE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Kyle Taylor and Liis End for winning the Under 21 Ballroom at the International Championships. Jack Beale & Karolina Szmit came 6th. Lloyd Perry & Rebecca Scott were 2nd in the Juvenile Latin and 4th in Juvenile Ballroom. Luke Miller & Hanna Cresswell came 5th in the Under 14 Latin and 6th in under 14 Ballroom. Mark Powell & Kim Parsons were 2nd in Senior Latin and Steve & Sue Witherington were 5th. Phil Holding & Debbie Trueman made the semis in Senior Ballroom. We had four couples in the Over 50s Ballroom semi-finals: John Hyam & Jennifer Selmes, Peter & Christine Worthington, David & Maggie Durrant and John & June Coode. In the Amateur events, Neil Jones & Ekaterina Sokolova made the final, Alejandro Hernandez & Kerri Ann Donaldson made the quarters in Latin; in Ballroom Marco Cavallaro & Jo Clifton made the semi-finals, Mark & Olga Elsbury and Kyle Taylor & Liis End made the quarters. Avon Amateurs Press Release
The Gaye Biffen Day held by Avon Amateurs will be re-named the Gala Charity Day and the programme will be diversified to contain EADA NREs. Well done to the club who have raised over £50,000 for local cancer charities in memory of Gaye.

England will be represented in the European Wheelchair dancesport championships, which is being held in Israel this week. 120 dancers from 25 different countries will be taking part.
Jonathan Wilkins and Hazel Newberry MBE announced their retirement from competitive dancing at the recent World Championships in Tokoyo. EADA would like to wish them well and congratulate them on their achievements.
Congratulations to Neil Jones & Ekaterina Sokolova for an excellent demonstration of a rumba and jive at the World Amateur Allstars event at Cheam. Their jive was incredibly entertaining and received a standing ovation.
This was followed by their demo at Night of 100 Stars , where they paid tribute to "Giants of Latin" Walter Laird & Lorraine, dressing and dancing in the style of the day.
EADA would like to wish good luck to John & Linda West as they retire from competitive dancing and turn Professional, as well as congratulate them on everything they have achieved.
Congratulations to Richard Still & Morgan Hemphill who made the semi-finals of the World Amateur 10-dance Championships in Spain. They placed 14th out of 33 couples.
