DANCESPORT NOW FEATURING IN THE WORLD MASTERS GAMES
We are pleased to announce that the IDSF has become a member of the International Masters Games Association which means Dancesport will now feature in the World and European Masters Games from 2011. These are international multi-sport events open to all Senior (over 35yrs) athletes. Most Masters' sports are organised in different age classes reflecting intervals of five to ten years between one and the other.
The 2011 European Masters Games will be held in Lignano, Italy on 17th and 18th September 2011 at the Lignano Sabbiadoro Sports Hall.
There will be events in Ballroom for 35+, 45+ and 55+ and in Latin for 35+ and 45+.
The 2013 World Masters Games will be held in Turin, Italy.
Congratulations to Neil Jones & Katya Sokolova who were runners up in the Amateur Latin at the International Championships.
CHANGE TO NRE VENUE: 14th November

We would like to stress again that EADA will not prevent couples from dancing in any competition; the IDSF however, may take action against anyone competing in unregistered events and EADA are unable to select couples for World & European Championships who are facing an IDSF ban.

Senior II NREs now 5-dance from the first round
Following problems that have been experienced with dances being ommitted from Senior II NREs by mistake, the Council has decided to change the NRE guidelines so that all Senior II NREs (Ballroom & Latin) will be a 5-dance from the first round, with immediate effect. Promoters will be contacted in due course.
